APCO Australia's 8th Annual Conference and Exhibition took place 21st - 23rd February 2011
Fortek Computers and Fujitsu Australia have been delivering CAD systems in Australia together as partners for 14 years, and joined forces on the exhibition floor at this years APCO in Melbourne. Fortek currently works with several agencies in Australia such as Fire and Rescue New South Wales, ACT Emergency Services Agency, New South Wales Police, and most recently Queensland Police.
Representing Fortek in Melbourne was Managing Director, Mr George Godliman, who gave demonstrations of the VISION PX CAD System as currently deployed in the UK, along with an Andriod Smartphone VISION CAD Application. Featured within these systems were key new developments in messaging and mapping which were of most interest to the stand visitors.
Showcased at the exhibition was the case study from Nottinghamshire Police, UK who have have been customers with Fortek Computers for 18 years. During which time there have been significant changes to their control room operations. Most recently, as part of an initiative to improve customer services, they introduced a number of new working practices and upgraded to VISION PX to support several of these initiatives. Overall these initiatives are credited with a reduction in incident numbers of nearly 20% over the last two years.
